They are back!

If you’ve been following me for a while you know I’ve been exploring painting abstract. I enjoy it. It’s taken me to new places. I use and apply the paint differently. But even when I’m doing my abstract thing, I see the people in the painting. I haven’t given them the opportunity to get in the front, to be the subject of the painting.
And now they are back, my human figures. I’m not surprised. They’ve been with me for a long time and are dear to me. I guess one reason for my fondness, or even addiction, to paint human figures is because I like people. To meet them. To get to know them. To understand them.
They are back, but in a different way. The abstract painting has expanded my painting skills. Helped me to approach the canvas and colours in a different way. But there is still something familiar with them. It’s the same as in your personal development. You try new things. Do things in a different way. Learn a new skill. Open up for new perspectives. But you are still there, only developed. Version 2.0
How have you challenged the old you recently? And what happened?! I would love to know!
Ps. you know all my paintings are for sale, don’t you ;)
