Procastrinate

I guess you procrastinated now and then. I certainly do. I don’t like it, because it takes a lot of my attention, focus and energy. But it happens.

A few months ago I decided to change this habit. I started with examine when I procrastinate. I found two occasions: tasks and decisions outside my comfort zone.

To change my habits around tasks was quite easy. Every morning I write down my tasks for the day. It can be both work related and private things I need to do. And then I just do it.

The decisions are a bit trickier, since I can’t be proactive like with the tasks. I need to recognise in the moment that I want to procrastinate. But when I do notice it the solution is easy: I stop, breath, give it some time and listen to myself. And the answer comes to me.
