Lack of inspiration

When people ask me what I do to get inspired when painting, my answer always is: I just start to paint and if I’m lucky the inspiration comes. And when it doesn’t I have to be persistent and continue anyway. It works most of the time, but not always. Now and then I feel like I never will be able to make a painting again. (I’m in that mood at the moment)
It also happens to me in my consulting role. The cure is the same:
- I close my eyes and let go of all thoughts.
- Giving myself peace of mind to recharge.
- No pushing or expectations.
- Slowly finding my way back to the joy of the work.
Try it next time you lack inspiration and motivation.
