Google knows what creates a dreamteam, what it is that make them more productive and successful than others.
An established “truth” assume that it is the mix of people which creates the dreamteam. But Google couldn’t find the connection in their analyses. It wasn’t until they turned to the latest research within group norms that they found the answer.
The key is to feel safe in the group. There are two significant factors to feel safe and secure:
- that everyone in the group were given space and time to talk
- empathy, to dare to show feelings
Kind and safe people are productive and enjoy their job.
